Purpose of the job
To benchmark SITA’s Products and Services features and prices throughout the product and service lifecycle
management to ensure that they are aligned to the market to enable SITA to achieve revenue growth and improved
customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibility Areas
• Perform benchmarking of Products and Services;
• Monitor and report on Product profitability;
• Implement cost reduction and process improvement initiatives;
• Maintain, monitor and control integrity of pricing information;
• Human Capital Management;
• Monitoring and improvement interventions; and
• Provide input into the department on the management of financial risk.

Knowledge of: Benchmarking of Products and Services Prices and Feature; Product Profitability Analysis
techniques; Product and Services Market Analysis; Basic Costing and Pricing principles; Financial Management
principles; Product Life Cycle Management; Extensive knowledge of ICT Products, Services and Customer Solutions;
General knowledge of Government ICT; Public Finance Management Act; Technical Report writing.
Skills: Customer Relationship Management, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Product & Service
Lifecycle Management, and Research & Innovation. Leadership Competencies: Customer Experience, Collaboration,

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree at NQF leve(7) in Finance/Commerce/Computer Science /Information Technology/Business Management or related fields.
Experience : 7 – 8 years’ experience in Market analysis – preferably in an ICT Environment/Commercial/Information Technology/Business Management, including 4 years in a management role.

Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities:-
    • Provides comments on options and alternatives with respect to the processes and procedures
      encapsulated in specific complex engineering work.
      Provides advice/information and guidance on the principles, procedures and applications
      associated with a complex form of Engineering Project.
      Applies principles and techniques associated with the development and presentation of
      technical designs for complex forms of engineering work related to specific projects.
      Prepares and collates contract documentation and/or evaluating tender applications for
      complex engineering work related to the project.
      Interprets and defines standards and controls the implementation/outcomes associated with
      specific complex Engineering contracts.
      Disseminates information on the professional aspects of engineering design concepts and
      provides reports detailing interventions and outcomes.
      Applies complex engineering principles,techniques and standards to address stability and
      capability of electrical distribution systems.
      Prepares proposals for external funding and co-ordination of expenditure.
      Actively supports and promotes safety and accident prevention in accordance with the

      Investigates and implements new practices and technology.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronic or Computer Engineering from a University
    recognised by the Council on Higher Education.
    Registered as a Professional Engineer (Electrical / Electronic) with the Engineering Council of
    South Africa.
    Valid motor vehicle drivers licence (Code B or EB)
    3 Years relevant post qualification experience in the electricity supply industry.
    Computer Literacy.

    1. 40 Hour-5 day week. Flexi hours to be agreed with the Deputy Head: MV/LV Operations.
    2. Permanent Locomotion Allowance.
